Board Meeting Minutes

January 11, 2010

Members Present: Sarah Yager, Kathy Klemetsrud, Sandy Hunter, Alisha Ehnert, Wendy Palmer, Susan Estenson, Mark Estenson, Sara Thompson

Absent: Kris Thompson

Mark called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Coaches Report: N/A

Treasurer’s Report: N/A

New Business:

• Parents have been wondering about when ice show practice will begin. It was agreed that practice for ice show numbers should start around March 3^rd.
• Recent ice injuries were discussed. Sarah has offered to put together some First Aid and CPR courses free of charge to LRSC members.
• Minot competition was discussed. All of the participating skaters did a great job!
• Sarah discussed some incidents that occurred at the Minot competition. Susan will write up a coach reprimand to email to the board. Mark made a motion for a reprimand; seconded by Alisha. Motion carried.
• Wendy will look into some grant writing for the club.

Spring Ice Show:

- There will be a March 1^st deadline for all advertising line ads.

- Pictures are tentatively scheduled for February 22^nd & 23^rd.

- Costumes need to be ordered ASAP. Board members will meet with parents at Wednesday Basic Skills lessons this week to discuss costumes. Kathy will send an email to let parents know.

- Unknown at this time who will write the script for the show.

- We will check with Kris Thompson about having a bake sale.

- Sarah will contact the newspaper about advertising. Mark will contact Fireside and the radio station.

- Susan will check with Jodi Lange about printing tickets.

- Creative Impressions is currently working on ice show t-shirts.

- It is unknown at this time who will MC the show. We will check with Vicky McMullen, Jeff Klemetsrud and Robyn Jerome to see if anyone is available.
