Board Meeting Minutes

September 28, 2009

Members Present: Mark Estenson, Sarah Yager, Kathy Klemetsrud, Sandy Hunter, Alicia Ehnert, Kris Thompson, Sue Armstrong

Members Absent: Wendy Palmer

Mark called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm

Coaches Report: N/A

Treasurer’s Report: N/A

Old Business:

• Mark reported that our ice time start date is still unknown at this time. When a date is known Mark will get ahold of the radio station to let the public and members know. Sarah will put a tentative date on the website and update it as more information is available.

New Business:

• Susan Estenson will order Rule Books from U.S. Figure Skating to make sure that coaches have all requirements.
• Susan Estenson is checking on videos from U.S. Figure Skating for dance, Basic Skills, etc.
• Registration went well. Over 30 families have registered so far.
• The board currently has an open position. Discussion was held regarding whether Susan Estenson would be able to be on the board and it was agreed that there would not be a conflict of interest. Mark made a motion to put Susan Estenson on LRSC Board; Kris Thompson seconded. Motion carried.
• Someone needs to get in touch with Luanne Krein to see if Minot dance coaches will be coming for any sessions in Devils Lake.
• Sandy Hunter volunteered to decorate the LRSC Board at the Burdick Arena, Kathy Klemetsrud offered to help if needed.

Next Meeting: tentatively scheduled for October 11, 2009, 4:30 pm, at the Burdick Arena.
