Board Meeting Minutes

July 13, 2010

Members Present: Sarah Yager, Kathy Klemetsrud, Mark Estenson, Susan Estenson, Wendy Palmer, Sara Thompson

Absent: Sandy Hunter, Alisha Ehnert, Kris Thompson

Kathy called the meeting to order.

Secretary’s Report: June 24, 2010 minutes reviewed by the board. Mark made a motion to approve the June 24, 2010 meeting minutes; seconded by Sara T.. Motion carried.

Coaches Report: N/A

Treasurer’s Report: N/A

Old Business:

• Ice show dates were discussed. We will check with the coaches and absent board members before making a final decision on dates. Issue tabled until board next meeting.

• Registration dates will be: August 26^th, September 7^th & September 8^th, 6-8 pm.

• Sara is still working on the liability statement. Issue tabled until next board meeting.

• Fundraisers were discussed.

  • Kristi Ziegler agreed to work at the LRSC booth for crazy days (Thank You - Kristi !!).

  • Steak Fry @ Lotta’s on August 7^th.

New Business:

• Wendy discussed lighting with the board. We will look into a possible grant for lights.

• 2010-2011 Fees were discussed.

  • We will offer a 20% discount for family membership fee to new families who have never been members of LRSC. The discount will only be applied to memberships/all fees that are paid in full at the time of registration.

  • We will offer a 10% discount for family membership fee to current or past members who pay all fees in full at time of registration.

  • There will be a $10 dance class fee added for synchronized skaters.

• Susan will check with Joyce about holding coach meet and greets at registration.

• Sara T. will start working on a newsletter.

• Wendy agreed to be our individual competitor coordinator.

• Stacy Lilleberg will remain our synchro coordinator.

• Sara T. agreed to be our Basic Skills coordinator.

• We will check with coaches about holding competitors banquet on April 10, 2011.

• Discussion regarding subcommittees tabled, to be discussed at the next board meeting.

Next Meeting: August 3, 2010 at 7:00 pm, Burdick Arena
