Board Meeting Minutes

August 31, 2009

Members Present: Sarah Yager, Jody Goodell-Lange, Kathy Klemetsrud, Mark Estenson, Kris Thompson, Wendy Palmer, Sue Armstrong, Sandy Hunter

Coaches Report: N/A

Treasurer’s Report: N/A

Old Business:

- Registration will be September 16^th & 17^th, 4-7 pm, at the Burdick Arena. There will also be registration during Family Skate times on October 4^th & 7^th. Kathy will email board members to see who will be available for those dates.

- Spring Ice Show will be held on March 27^th, 28^th & 29^th.

- The board reviewed the LRSC Handbook.

- Next Steak Fry is scheduled for Spetember 11, 2009 at Proz at 5pm.

- Next ditch cleaning is scheduled for September 5, 2009 at Wally’s, 10:00 am.

- The board further discussed LRSC skaters using coaches outside of LRSC. It was agreed upon that any skater who chooses to receive private lessons from an outside coach must first get permission from Coach Jim. Skaters will no longer be allowed to compete under LRSC or participate in the ice show if they are competing but not receiving lessons from a LRSC coach.

New Business:

- USFSA testing dates were discussed. Dates TBA at a later time.

- The board discussed whether afternoon ice would be used. Board members will talk with the older skaters about afternoon ice during registration. The board will further review available private ice times to determine if we will keep afternoon ice.
